Lincoln Elementary is Mt. Lebanon's second-oldest public school, serving the Beverly Road neighborhood since 1925. With approximately 40,000 students through its doors over the decades, Lincoln's legacy is as deep as it is enduring.

- Opened in September 1925, Lincoln is the second-oldest Mt. Lebanon school still in active us.

- During World War II, Lincoln served as a community hub for Civil Defense training and ration book distribution.
- The PTA was organized in 1935.
A School Built with Community Spirit
- The site of the school was acquired in November 1923 on 3.4 acres for $14,500.
- or a century, the school has stood as a cornerstone of the Beverly Road neighborhood, bringing together families from Twin Hills, Old Virginia Manor, and northern Bower Hill.
- First complete interior renovation completed in 2004.
Named for an American President
- Named after President Abraham Lincoln, his words, "I do not think much of a man who is not wiser today than he was yesterday," are engraved at Lincoln's front entrance. They were a promise then, and they remain one today: that every student who walks through these doors will grow.
Continuing the Story
- Nearly a century after its founding, Lincoln Elementary welcomes approximately 394 students each year. The goal set when the school opened, that every child will be wiser today than yesterday, is as alive and motivating as ever.
